What to Expect From Your Inspection

A General Inspection is a report intended to assist in the evaluation of the overall condition of the dwelling. The inspection is based upon observation of the visible and apparent condition of the structure and its components on the date of the inspection. A home inspection is not the prediction of future conditions.

As a buyer, you should expect to find problems not identified in your report. This is because the home inspection will not reveal every problem that exists, or can ever exist. A home inspection will cover only those material defects that were observed on the day of the inspection. A home inspection report shall describe and identify, in a written format the inspection systems, structures, and components of the dwelling. And the inspection report shall identify material defects observed.
